A fabulous Electrocompaniet PC-1 CD player (Silver) in Bookham, Surrey for sale
Electrocompaniet is a Norwegian hi-end hi-fi manufactuer, best known for smooth looking and sounding audiophile equipment. This is their attempt at affordable entry-level kit. And it really works: The sound is detailed, smooth and clean, which allows itself to be partnered with an array of other manufactuers. I have mine powered with Leema amplification. Purchased a from a well-known hi-fi retailer (still have their details) as an ex-dem item. The retailer assured me this example has only been used in their shop, so in effect I'm the first owner from new. (On the back of the unit is a Electrocompaniet label that says 'for dem use only') Since I've purchased this CD player, 18 months ago, it has only been used a few times on a regular basis, and as such it's still in mint condition both mechanically and aesthetically. The CD player has become surplus to requirements; most of my collection is vinyl based, so I'm looking for a good home for the Electrocompaniet. It deserves to be used by someone who fully appreciates CD playback. The Electrocompaniet comes with box, remote control, Mains flex and a (digital) handbook. The inputs are standard affairs for CD players: One set of XLR analogue interconnects and one digital coaxal cable for digital, both ideal for use with a external DAC. The Electrocompaniet PC-1 retailed, when new, for around £1200 before replaced by the MKII version approx 4 years ago. Please feel free contact me if you have any questions.
